Testosterone therapy

During our teens and twenties, blood levels of hormones are at peak and start to decline as we enter middle age. Some of us witness uncomfortable body conditions like hot flushes or sudden rise in heartbeat along with extreme emotions such as depression or mood swings. These problems occur due to hormone deficiencies and if not taken care of at the right time, can lead to adverse health conditions and deteriorated quality of life.

Some hormones such as estrogen and progesterone decline abruptly at menopause while others like human growth hormone (HGH), DHEA, testosterone, and melatonin weaken the body system through a much slower process. If hormone levels are monitored regularly from the ages of 20 through 40 a continuous downfall in their strength can be seen. Under such conditions, it makes sense to restore those same levels of hormones with hormone therapy and enjoy an excellent level of energy even with the advancement in age.

DHEA, a very well known hormone, is produced by the adrenal glands. It begins to drop when we reach thirty and declines linearly until we die. In fact, natural death follows as soon as the DHEA levels hit zero. Many people use DHEA levels as a biomarker for aging. It plays a key role in lowering our cholesterol, minimizing fat deposition, keeping our hearts healthy, and preventing the development of diabetes and arthritis. A dhea replacement therapy monitors DHEA levels to assure optimal blood DHEA levels results in improved health conditions and slower onset of high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis.

Testosterone therapy has been promoted by some practitioners as a kind of antiaging and cure-all treatment for men and women alike. Testosterone hormone is responsible for sex drive, energy levels, lean muscle mass and mental acuity. Actually, testosterone treatment has joined the ranks of Viagra as one of most widely used method for men of a certain age who suffer from what has been described as male menopause.

Hormone Therapy

Hormone therapy  -- Good parents are aware of the normal growth and development stages for their child. For Gabrielle Dolbin, her parents noticed that normal growth and development was not taking place properly. The Columbus Dispatch featured an article on how hormone therapy has helped her.

Gabrielle’s parents noticed that their daughter hadn’t grown much since beyond her kindergarten height of about 3 feet 10 inches. First grade had breezed but the concern didn’t grow until many doctor visits and tests showed the same results as she was near completion of her 2nd grade year. Doctors found that her pituitary gland wasn’t producing the growth hormones that her body needed.

Initially, her parents were apprehensive about the treatment: growth hormone replacement therapy (also the performance-enhancing drug used illegally by some athletes says Testosterone therapy specialist). They decided to give her injections out of the concern of her health, not her appearance. Her parents believed that there’s nothing wrong about being short, if that’s how she was supposed to be. It was the fact that her body wasn’t properly functioning and that her health could be affected later on. The treatment is relatively common for youngsters with growth disorders. Growth hormone deficiency is caused by genetic conditions, pituitary gland problems and other medical circumstances. 3500 American Children are affected by this deficiency.

A DHEA Replacement specialist who also specializes in growth hormone therapy said that injections aren’t designed to make children grow beyond their genetic potential. It’s very difficult to take a child and make them grow taller than their parents are. Without treatment, hormone-deficient youngsters are considered at risk for delayed puberty, osteoporosis and weak muscular development which health implications are still being researched.
