Real Zaragoza odds goalkeeper Cesar admitted to a huge sigh of relief after the club closed out Copa del Rey semifinal foe Real Madrid on Tuesday night, despite suffering a 4-0 Bernabéu lashing.

The visitors allowed three goals in the first ten minutes of the second leg and barely hung on under intense pressure for a 6-5 aggregate victory.

“It seemed to be the longest match I’ve ever played in,” shared Cesar. “I never stopped looking at the scoreboard.”

Added Zaragoza defender Gabriel Milito:

“I’ve never suffered so much on the pitch, but at least we never lost our heads.”
